Summary
Computer programming is an important research tool, but is seldom taught and can be very intimidating to learn. We are leading a weekly informal lecture series to introduce the basic concepts of programming in R and Python languages. It's targeted at senior undergraduate and first year graduate students in Oceanography or related discipline at Dalhousie University, but we intend to make all content openly available for broader use. All source code is available here. We hope you find this helpful, and encourage you to get in touch if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions.
